I have seen several cameo cakes around and in the Cake Decorating Magazine I got a little cameo mold and wanted to try it out. So here goes my first Cameo Cupcake.
What you will need:
- Two different colours of fondant.
- Cameo mold.
- Cupcake.
- Buttercream icing.
- Knife
- Embosser
- Rolling pin.
Step 1: Spray your mold with baking spray so the fondant doesn't stick to the mold.
Step 2: Push some fondant in the mold and make sure that the back is smooth.
Step 3: Take out the fondant and leave it to dry.
Step 4: While the fondant is drying ice the cupcake with the buttercream icing.
Step 5: Roll out another colour fondant and emboss it with a checked embosser.
Step 6: Place the fondant on the iced cupcake.
Step 7: Use a little bit of water and stick the cameo onto the cupcake.
Step 8: Serve to your guests either as a Mother's Day Party or a Kitchen Tea
