Welcome to Part Two of my Art of Baking lesson. In this blog I make the buttercream icing I used to decorate this delicious cake.
Step 1: Get all the ingredients together.
Step 2: once the cake is cool place it on the plate or board on which you are ging to serve it.
Step 3: Mix the icing using the butttercream method and pt about half of it as a filling. I uses just under half because you need more for the sides of the cake.
Step 4: Place the second cake on top of the first. Pressing it down slightly. Ice the sides and the top with the rest of the icing using a spatula. You can use a breadknife but I find the spatula creates a smoother finish
Step 5: Decorate the cake any which way you like. I just used sen colures vermicelli and some fondant flowers that I made previously.
